Birthday, it's ya birthday

Whoa late responses.

My birthday was amazing, we went into the city and went to 2 different museums.

At first we couldn't figure out how the hell to work our metro-cards but eventually we figured it out. /dumbasses/

Anyway we ended up going to the Gardner museum where a bunch of frames were empty from the heist in the 90's! It was an incredible view. The inside is like a Roman garden. Even though it was small, the most incredible part of the museum was the fact that they had Michelangelo original sketches. That puts these thin pieces of paper at over 500 years old. I went up really close and examined everything and I just can't fathom how a human being was able to craft his own pencil, his own paper and then render such finely detailed and anatomically correct bodies onto one tiny space. Even professional artists these days can't do that unless they have "pro materials."

The next place we stopped by was the Science Museum. We went into the butterfly exhibit and this really kind woman who was super into butterflies taught us about the different types. She even found one that died :( but then took out a microscope and had us examine it and tested us on our knowledge. It was really fun!! Next we went to the lightning show where they had two giant tesla coils and did this weird Mario Bros. concert using electric discharge (sparks). It was pretty neato.

We walked around some more and they had exhibits on pandas, the human body (which we got to do some cool interactive programs concerning facial recognition and reflex. We even got to see some baby chicks ;^;

Eventually it was getting late so we intended to go to this ramen shop where they frame your dreams on the wall but we got lost in a ghetto and didn't end up doing that at all. We DID however arrive at this really happenin' bar strip and intended to have my friends meet us but via miscommunication we ended up at their apartment instead and had drinks and pizza and fun nights!!!

In the end I was really impressed because that whole trip was the greatest gift Lou could have given me but in addition he also added on this incredible gift:

WHAM BAM HE GOT ME A CAM

I was honestly shocked because I was always whining about how I needed one for speed paints and YT videos (which I intend to start fairly soon). But it through me for a loop because I never expected him to give me such a grand gesture in addition to the city trip! I've been testing the waters with this camera so hopefully I can get started really soon!

It was pretty magical.

Anyway I'm going to update a lot today, try to separate the posts a bit so I don't have too many lengthy ones and I can catch up.
