Cue next day where neither of us went to CT.
I arrived at Louis's house to break the news that I couldn't go because I had made plans with Cheleen. He was really upset and begged me to change plans, but I really couldn't as I had already told my parents what my plan was and intended to meet up with them at the summer house that day. Louis was really bummed, so much so that he canceled his plans with Joey and said he was just going to stay home because he wasn't going to be having fun if I really couldn't go because we haven't been able to adventure together and have day trips since the aquarium and foxwoods because work conflicted so much. I wasn't about to let him mope around his house so I also invited him to the summer house. After a bit of banter, he agreed and proceeded to LEAVE HIS HOUSE IN HIS BOXERS. I snapped a bunch of photos and took a video but I don't know if that would be blog appropriate to post them LOL. But he made it to my car and almost got in, as I dared him to do it and meet my family in his underwear. He chickened out at that point and got changed. We then drove to Cheleen's house, who lives only aboout 15-20 minutes away and it sucked because my car's AC broke so we were just sweating and dying the whole ride. We hung out at Cheleen's for a bit and met her Labradoodle puppy who is the most adorable creature. Louis played with him the whole time we were there and kept calling him "carpet" because his fur felt like one apparently.
From Cheleens we headed out to Cape Cod and got pizza. Once we arrived my mom had made mango daiquiris and gave us all one. Louis had two by accident because he let his melt into straight liquid and wanted more of the slush. Needless to say he immediately turned red. None of us had had water during the hot day so we all absorbed it rather quickly. My family, being partially irish, is very heavy with the alcohol content of drinks because we all have such a high tolerance so it was pretty hilarious to see everyone get a bit tipsy. We played video games for a good 3 hours and then socialized with my extended family.
red faced louis LOL
Cheleen and Louis passing out on the couch.
My great uncle, a very explicit and direct, "no-nonsense" puerto rican man, came an sat by us and upon finding out Louis and I were dating, proceeded to grill him on his life goals. Interestingly enough, I found out a lot about Louis that I didn't know before. I had never known that he wanted to move and live in Asia to train for noodles and then live in a big city like NYC or San Francisco, (SF being where I am going to live if I don't move to Korea or Osaka). I have to thank my uncle for being so forward that I could discover this. Louis of course, was answering all of this completely red faced and it was really funny. He asked Louis many things including "Why the hell would I go to your noodle bar? What makes yours special?" and it was interesting to listen to Louis really think about his answers and almost formulate a plan as he went.
Louis meeting Delilah
After meeting my family and the white dog my cousin just got, we ended up going to the beach to watch fireworks. Unfortunately, the fireworks were all hidden behind clouds and fog so that was mildly disappointing. It was also REALLY cold so we all froze our asses off thinking it would've been hotter.
Cheleen always hiding her face!! This is the beach~
Following fireworks and lots of traffic, we ended up at a chinese food restaurant where I had pad thai that was pretty delicious. Cheleen also got this ballin' dessert in the shape of a bear.
I got a coconut sorbetto in a half shell and it was really great! I then proceeded to drive everyone home. I chilled at Louis's for a bit because we both felt gross and needed to shower severely. We played Animal Crossing on his 3DS (because I don't have one) and he showed me what certain things were and how to work a 3DS LOL. After a while I left because I knew he had work the next day. I returned to my air conditioned house and proceeded to sleep for a good 10 hours.
