Korean Food and Fun Times

Because I napped after work yesterday, I'm wide away and I wanted to write down what happened when I went to Providence yester----2 days ago before I forget everything that happened. I like documenting fun things.

Anyway it was a really exciting time for me because I was going to have 팥빙수 for the first time and I had been wanting to try it for years. Anyway I drove to Providence around 7:30 and milled around waiting for Louis to get ready because he had worked all day. We didn't have too much of a plan but he wanted korean food so he said "I want to take you to this cool place downtown." and stopped at that. He drove and we couldn't find parking at ALL because it was Saturday night. We ALMOST got a spot but he was too nervous to parallel park and got frustrated so we switched seats and I drove. After about an hour of driving in circles looking for parking, I finally pulled into this really shady spot on the side of the road. At this point it was 10pm and the restaurant closed at 10:30.

After awkwardly speed walking down the street we ended up here:

(I stole the image off their facebook because unfortunately it was too dark to take a proper picture)
It's called Teriyaki House and it's really quite beautiful inside. We sat down and there were only 2 other parties there so we rushed through the menu. I had 만두국 which is a dumpling and rice cake soup and Louis had something called 콩나물국, a soybean soup. I also tried Aloe bubble tea for the first time and it tasted pretty fantastic. Louis got this weird hot rice mixture to drink but I've already forgotten the name.

I proceeded to annoy the everliving fuck out of him because I was attempting to use Vine and instead decided I was just going to take 100,000 pictures of him drinking instead.

What a suave gentleman...with nice shoulders to boot.

I thought he looked really good in these photos.
If you can see, the inside is really big and I love restaurants with high ceilings.

Unfortunately we ended up not getting any form of bingsu, so I was slightly disappointed but it was a nice time trying new places so I can't complain too much.

When we got back to the apartment, I convinced Louis to watch a scary movie with me. He was strongly opposed to it at first but with enough coaxing he conceded. We watched a foreign film called Muoi and it was immensely stupid so once again I was moderately disappointed but next time I'm going to try to watch something actually creepy with him. Hopefully I can open him up to Ju-on or The Shining.

Anyway, we watched some random City Hunter episodes after and it was really nice. He passed out around 2am and since I had work the next day I left. He's impossible to wake up so I gave him a kiss and snuck out like a creep. Around 3am however I went to my friend Cheleen's house and we got to talk and had a very low key late night girl bonding time. We watched a little bit of a drama called Dating Agency: Cyrano. It was really cute!! I got to hear more stories about when she was in Korea as well!!

At 5am I called it quits though and headed home for my 3 hours of sleep before work.

It was a night well spent though and I hope to have many more. ^_^
